I think the wreath hat is pretty cool, but I was a bit disappointed by the colors they chose for it, it didn't seem very "wintersdayish" to me. :/

My female chars look very cute int dwayna's hats.
My bald monk looks really funny in grenth's. And my female necro looks ok in it.
My male ranger looks silly in both

Too bad it's not more like Nian's design, but I think the hats aren't that awful.

When a simple change of color (even without fur and transparency) makes this hat go from horrible to great, you've got to wonder, did ANet even bother to try this hat out in the game to see what it would look like before release?

I like the Dwayna one, but think it could have used a little more green in it. The Grenth one is a big disappointment. It's too dark so it doesn't do justice to the winner's submission and from anywhere but the front it looks ugly.

So I get Nian's horribly-murdered crown (shame...the art was SO pretty) and then code=007. I log BACK in to find the 10 or so presents I had managed to pick up, along with the crown, have all vanished.

Gee freakin gee.

I don't think I'll bother trying again this year...bah humbug.

I only tried on my current main character (my female paragon), and I really like the ice crown...she looks like a 80's singer, nice "new wave" touch ^^
The dwayna crown is kinda...mmm..weird (my character looks like she's getting married or something^^).

These hats are the ugliest things ive ever seen thanks anet for outdoing yourself when it comes to letting your players down.
they are like giant pieces of coal in my stocking. wont even bother going to the event now. Dang, didnt think they would try to out do the tengu hat, but they did grats anet, you finially did tof estival hats what you did to ha and pvp in general.

Ya know, they could simply taken the skin from the glacial blade and put it on the ice crown. Would have made it decent at least. Looking at the art work that nian did, I'm saddened and disappointed by the work Anet did. It looks like a chunk of lead atop a piece of white shag carpet. The model itself doesnt even match the artwork. The artwork is elegant and smooth, the model itself... well... isnt.

As for the wreath, its not bad. I like the candle effects. Sadly, my first impressions were that someone dropped a cake on my head. It took a min or two of extra close up viewing to realize that they were going for a flowery wreath. But the level of detail put into this hat is decent. And its pretty different from the other holiday hats, so I cant complain.

I'm glad the "good" artists are working on GW2, but still, the ice crown could have and should have been better. A good texture that already exists in the game would have been better then what they actually used.

The Dwayna crowns are styled after the historically real (and still seen) St. Lucia "crowns" of the Scandinavian countries, as far as I can tell. I think they're really nice, personally, though I can see where you more .... macho individuals might feel a bit compromised

The Grenth ones.....well, I don't know if I'm going to bother. Frankly, after the Halloween OMGHOWFUGLY hat, I just can't scrounge up much liking for his toppers.
